How hard does the trauma have to be to warrant a trip to hospital for anti- d? When I was pregnant with DD my niece kicked me by accident in the top of my bump when I was 32 weeks and I went and had an anti- d injection even though i'd already had one at 28 weeks routinely.

Im starting to freak a bit at the amount of times my LO hits, kicks and jumps on me. Ive told her I don't know how many times to be gentle with me as theres a baby in my tummy but it makes no difference. Im starting to really worry that as I get bigger im going to be at hospital having countless anti- d injections at this rate! Does the trauma have to be fairly major to need one does anyone know?

I thought only if you were bleeding or spotting it would be a concern.

I didn't bleed at all last time when I was kicked but rang labour ward to be on the safe side and they said come in right away and put me on the monitor for a while and gave me an anti-d injection.

I was also told to go in if I had bleeding or spotting but not to worry about anything else... maybe your healthcare team were being super cautious? xx

I was told to come in if I had bleeding, spotting or trauma to my bump. I think we trauma would need to be fairly significant like a fall or car crash or toddlers full weight hitting you bump.
