Rise of a standard mei tai

I cant seem to get Alex into my mei tai right, ive not used it for a while but past few days ive been trying alex in it on my back and i cant get it to go high enough up his back to be sure hes safe in it.

So im wondering if its how im putting it on or if mine is shorter than normal?

Its not a branded type, i got it from ebay a while ago.

hmm you could do with someone who has a babyhawk, my DC and melkjac are bigger i think

My Babyhawk is 19 inches and my SMT is 20 inches.
