what spelling do you prefer. robyn or robin?

My niece is called Robyn, nicknamed Bird.

She suits it as well, so i say with a Y.

I like Robin. I've seen many female names becoming 'more feminine' by adding a y. Robin can be cute and can be classy and sophisticated for when she applies for a job! xx

I was just having the same problem, as I'm considering it for a middle name! I think Robin looks more classic, whereas I think that, in 10 years or so, names with "y"s in them where "i"s once were might look a bit dated :/

I love Robyn for a girl. I wanted to call my DD Robyn but hubby picked Aimee after his Grandma who passed away - so I let him have that. I think I may have Robyn if we ever have another girl

I voted Robyn though as I generally prefer that - would name a girl Robyn, but probably wouldn't call my LO Robin (I knew a Robin at school).

I like the 'y's!! We're calling our daughter Evelyn
