Rock Wife in cycle #6...TTC#1!

Hellooooo ladies! Currently in cycle #6 trying for our first! CD 16 at the moment...not sure if I've OV-ed this time....staying away form OPK's and temping...trying out a more "relaxed" approach to TTC this time. But ya can't keep me from Bnb! Haha!

PS..."rock wife" = DH in a band...anyone else in the same boat? He has practice here twice a week. We have quite a loud household at times lol He's so passionate about it! I hope one day his dream of being a professional musician comes true. There are sacrifices though, as a wife. One of them being our rocked out basement haha!

Hi! I'm not in the same boat (DH and I are both tone deaf), but I LOVE your positive energy! Passion is a great thing, how wonderful for your OH to have an outlet AND a supportive partner!!!

My father is a rock musician, and my mother has also always been totally supportive. Some of my best childhood memories are of listening to my Dad play for us...I was probably the only kid who couldn't sleep if there wasn't a steady beat in my "lullaby"

Haha. Awesome! My hubby is in 2 bands. We have a loud house, too...lots of men with beards wandering in and out every weekend for practice. Im going onto cycle #5 and I was going to stop with the OPK's and charting, too....let us know how it works! Good luck!

Hey ladies! I'm now on cycle #6 ttc #1 and ditched the OPK's this month! If they havent worked for the lasy 6 they aint now

I'm trying to stop thinking about it but its proving hard! Going to see a clairvoyant on Friday so hoping she picks up on some good vibes for me

So what have you tried for the last 6 cycles? x

Im just moving onto cycle #5, but we used OPK's the whole time! Im gonna ditch them, too...they're getting too expensive! I would do BBT charting but I wake up all night and my numbers were always way off. We've had sex 3 times a week, and then every day (5 days in a row) during that fertile window. That's about all we can muster!

I am also a wife of rock. So, I have many lonely weekends when DH is away playing shows. We are about in the middle of our 7th cycle ttc. I've abandoned the opk's for this month and never got into the temping myself. I tend to obsess, so, I think that would be way too much for me, especially as I am about to finish my bachelor's. Our LO would be more likely to be sporting a peace sign in utero rather than be headbanging, but I totally understand what it is like to love a man dedicated to his music.

Hey ladies,

Really good to hear from others in same boat- we're heading into 6th cycle now and dh is also a part-time rocker- although tends to be local stuff so I just get nice quiet evenings with a bath and a good book! He was in a touring band before but opted to stay home and get on with his day job as the money wasn't great- I would've loved them to have made it big but secretly I quite like having him around more!!

ttc wise I've tried OPK's on two cycles but never got even a hint of a positive result. As i've read that it is possible to completely miss your surge if it's quite short I decided to give them up- too expensive and way too depressing!! I have had very regular periods since coming off the mini pill last year so just hoping i'm ovulating- who knows!! I have avoided temping too as like aquaria think it would give me way too much to obsess over. Also have heard that UK docs will completely dismiss any temp charts as unreliable so have decided to steer clear.
