I always add herbs and spices to my baby's food. I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't be ok. (Obviously I don't add any hot spices, just fragrant ones)
 
Oh yum. We're a way off weaning but always looking for new ideas.

Pumpkin Mac and Cheese is one of my older daughter's absolute favourite meals, too.
 
Mmm gotta try the Pumpkin Pancetta Mac ‘n’ Cheese recipe one day!
 
Nutmeg is the only spice I would be a bit careful about.
