Same letter for first and middle

I really wanted to honour my father James by making the boy middle name James. My husband really wants Jonathan as the first name.

Does Jonathan James sound funny? Its going to be Jonathan James Young. We think johnny or JJ is kind of cute.

Also for a girl we like Bethany Laura Young (laura is after my favorite aunt)

Seeing as you're from Canada my initial thoughts probably won't concern you - Jonathan James is a bargain shoe shop over here in the UK! Other than that I do think it's a nice name and JJ is a cute nickname.

My OH's friends name is John James, and there has been 7 of them in his family so I guess it goes well to keep it going that long

Thanks everyone. We aren't telling people the name till the baby is born since we got so much "suggestions" and people making us doubt our frist choices with our last baby. This time its what we want (but I still want to make sure I'm not giving my kid a stupid name with unbiased opions from you people who are not my mother or mother in law)
