Saw my midwife today..

Blood pressure isn't low anymore it's now 130/60
I don't have a urine infection.
Babies heartbeat is 145.. assumig beats per minute?
Isn't low BPM a sign of boy?
Oh I'm so excited to know who's in there!
Midwife did make a comment about the size of my bump

I asked my midwife last week when she let me listen to heart beat if it was true about if the heart beats faster/slower it means boy/girl etc and she said its an old wives tale, fun guessing tho right!

No shy baby, just a mean hospital! They wouldn't tell me. I shall find out on the 16th Feb hopefully, unless baby decides to hide its bits! Can't wait to know now. Super tired today but definately in a good mood

Glad to hear appt went well.

With my last pregnancy, which was a girl, i suffered with high blood pressure. Dont know the sex of this one yet but i'm convinced its a boy, and bp seems a lot lower.

Saying that though my bp went through the roof with my other son so much so that they had to deliver cos i had pre-eclampsia! So that doesnt really give any indication of baby sex and bp i'm afraid!

Baby's HR (heart rate) as measured by BPM has no direct relationship to sex UNTIL labor. It has been found that HR stays the same or lowers below 145 or so for boys and raises above 150 for girls.

So HR's at prenatal appointments have no correlation to sex. But if you don't find out what you're having on the 16th, you can watch the HR during your labor and have a pretty good guess

Interestingly, however, a study published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999 revealed that the baby's sex does influence heart rate during the labor process, with the hearts of little girls waiting to be born beating faster than those of little boys.

I'll find out at the 4D one! Time seems to be going so slow, although I'm not counting down anymore. Feels like ages! 2 weeks 3 days (just worked it out lol)
