Scan at 7 weeks

Hello.
Just wondering what people's experience is with early scans debating if too book one this weekend when I will be 7 weeks just for reassurance & know everything is progressing well!

What are you likely to see or not see, I'm guessing a heartbeat should be detected at this stage?

Feel free to post any pics of your beans at 7 weeks.

I had one today at 7 weeks 3 days. We got to see the heartbeat.

You should see a heartbeat by 7 weeks, but not much in the way of an actual baby- just a tiny blob with a flicker. They start to look like gummy bears around 8-9 weeks though. Here are my scan pics. I had them weekly since baby was measuring a little behind and it had me worried. Baby has been growing right on track with heart rate progressing accordingly. OB says that every scan has looked absolutely perfect. (So yeah, I didn't specifically need the scans, but doctor was fine having them done and insurance chose to cover them.)

5+0 - Gestational Sac

6 + 4 - 3mm - 116 bpm

7+1 - 9mm - 132bpm

8+0 - 12 to 13mm(ish) - 162bpm

9+0 - 18 to 19mm(ish) - 176 to 182bpm

10+0 - 27mm - 182bpm

11+0 - 38mm - 176bpm
