scar bleeding a little bit....

Has anyone ever had their incision start to bleed? I'm 4 weeks post partum and I noticed the middle part if my scar stinging a little today. On closer inspection, there wad a little bit of blood when I dabbed a piece of toilet paper on it but nor loads. Just hope it's not the start if an infection again as I already had this misfortune.

Mine is 4 weeks today and there's no way it could bleed- its barely visible and completely sealed.

My scar did ooze up to 8weeks it did look like blood but my Dr said it was ok, it healed beautifully can hardly be seen although still a bit numb.. I would have it looked at to be on the safe side.

Yes me! I went back to the hospital yesterday to have it checked out and although only a tiny amount of bleeding and a very small superficial 'hole' at the side it was diagnosed as an infection and I was given antibiotics. I have to dress the wound every day. Def go to the docs and get some anti b's. Has this happened to you before? Also I am STILL bleeding it's scanty but there and it's 4.5 weeks post c section for me . Any way you're not alone!

Hi there, yes it has happened before, 2 weeks ago I was in hospital on IV antibiotics for 3 days. Was really hoping that the infection had gone.

It's not bleeding now but I'll see how it does over the next few days. My scar still looks red and I get a stingy pain now and again. Yes I'm still kind of bleeding too although it isn't red anymore but I still have to use a pad. I just want to feel normal!

Yes I want to feel normal too it's so frustrating isn't it!?!! I am feeling very emotional over the scar bleeding. How come they put you on a drip instead of tablets?

Filipino, it was to get a head start I think. Oral antibiotics take longer to work I think. I was allowed to go home after 3 days armed with oral antibiotics.
