Scar ointments/creams

Just wondering if any of you have used it over your scar to prevent it scarring dark? And when can you start using it pp?

I have Bio Oil but haven't used it. I'm a little reluctant to use it because I'm only 8 or 9 days post csection. Or should I be after the steri-strips are taken off?

I'm worried I will scar badly, as in Keloid scar because of my ethnic background. I have a keloid scar on my tail bone area years ago due to a bedsore. So, naturally, I'm afraid of my c section scar healingthat way.

Hiya,

I know vitamin e oil is meant to be good for scars but that's all I do know I'm afraid.
I personally wouldn't use it yet as you don't want it getting into what's not fully healed yet.

Yes you're right. I'll see what my ob says once I go for my 4 week pp check up.
