Scar splitting?

hi all
I had abdominal surgery at 16wks which left me with a skin scar the same as a horizontal c-section scar and as I'm now starting to get a proper belly I'm concerned about it splitting. Has anyone encountered this on a subsequent pregnancy to having had a c-section?

I get odd pains from the scar like it's being stretched and have been using stretch mark cream on it, midwife just shrugged her shoulders when I mentioned it and said there's nothing they can do - she was bloody useless mind!

I had a laparoscopy and then got pregnant the month afterwards so throughout my pregnancy I was worried about the scar rupturing. Had a few twinges with the scar along the way - I anyway mentioned it straight away to the GP and midwife neither of whom were concerned. All went well in the end. Didn't even think of it during labour. .

I had open surgery at 14 weeks to remove a v large ovarian cyst, after the surgery my bump started to appear, I had an additional hospital check up 4 weeks later and asked the same question, as I has healed well there was no concern at all. LO is now 15 weeks old and I never had any issues with the incision (had c section at 39 + 4 and LO was 7lb 11oz) if you are concerned contact your consultant for a chat to ease your mind.

hi, i too have had to have a removal of a large ovarian cyst, was so annoyed that they couldnt do it through keyhole and had to go through a cs scar..so even though ive only had 2 cs, it feels as though i has 3 with the 3rd cut..i went through a paranoid stage haha, when i remember saying to my doctor so now ive got 3 abdominal scars does that mean i cant have any more cs lol..he said no not at all. i had problems with cysts in my first preg but thankyou stayed small...but the only reason my other cyst was noticed was because i was going through a miscarriage and at the scan it was revealed..i believe to this day it was 'one' of the factors of my mc, but the consultant said it wasnt.
