Is this a general stage babies go through?

Emma is starting to get very scared of men. She has met on a good few occasions my mates BF's, but for some reason now she is starting to be scared of them. My mates OH tickled my mate today and she laughed and LO's face just fell and she started screaming and getting scared - she does this if my OH tickles me and I struggle. She gets scared.

But she is also just kinda crying if handed to male friends - especially ones with facial hair!

Ruby was the same a few months back. I actually made a thread about it! It was a really short phase, lasted about 3 weeks I think.

Awww I think some babies do get scared like that - and they grow out of it

Izzy doesn't actually give a toss who holds her and it would be huge suprise if she started to be fussy now

Ophelia went through this phase too and she's still slightly wary of men...I think its just natural xxx

Linds is very wary of men, she has been since she was old enough to recognize who is holding her  Dunno, maybe she'll tell me why when she can talk! :winkwink:
xx

Rowan's been more nervous around strangers for the last couple of months than she used to be (a 'stranger' seems to be anyone she hasn't seen in about six weeks), and she's a lot more nervous of male strangers than female ones, particularly big men with deep voices. Generally she'll go to a woman almost immediately, but needs a couple of hours in the same room to decide that she likes a man; however, the last time we saw her uncle (who does, I concede, look like Grimly Fiendish) she still wouldn't let him hold her after a whole weekend, though she did condescend to allow him to tickle her if somebody else was holding her!
