Hi all,
Just a quick note to say my perfect boy arrived safely after induction at 8days overdue for high blood pressure, 40 hours of labour starting on St.Paddy's day as the Dublin parade marched by the hospital!, late decelerations and flurries of medics, episiotomy and ventouse delivery...ooh and a fabulous epidural!!!
Cord was around his neck causing his distress but they took blood samples from his scalp and decided he was grand, tho it was touch and go in the last hour as to whether i'd need a c-section, glad i didn't now!! Only 6 good pushes and he was out!!
I have to say the Rotunda Hospital , Dublin, is top class. I'm a nurse and went public and the care from start to finish was amazing!! I cannot ever thank all the staff enough!!
