Second day on Femara! need a buddy!

I am on my first round of cycle of femara and on cd4. And I would really like a buddy

Kwaggy - congrats on your bump! How long had you been trying before you got pregnant? Had you tried anything else other than Femara?

Kwaggy- CONGRATS!!! I am really hoping it does the trick for me, my doc thinks it will since my only problem is me ovulating

Kantny09- Have you had any side affects from the femara??

I have felt a little warm today...which is different for me because I am usually freezing in my office. But other than that nothing. I didn't really have any major side effects with Clomid either and I have heard Clomid side effects are worse than Femara.

What about you?

No I havent had any side affects so far

Thank you I took me 3 years! I did 8 cycles with clomid, and never ovulated. My cycles have always been very irregular.

Yay for no side effects!

Kwaggy - you are now my inspiration! It sucks that it took so long and that Clomid didn't work but it definitely gives the rest of us hope! Had you done anything else while taking the Clomid and Femara?

My doctor has me taking Premarin (progesterone) on days 10-14. He first prescribed it to me when I was taking Clomid. He said one of the side effects of Clomid ws that it dried out your CM and the Premarin would help with that so you had plenty of CM. He kept me on it when he switched me to Femara but I hadn't heard that as a side effect for Femara. Oh well, I am just going to keep taking it.

What days are/did ya'll take Femara? My doctor has me on CD 5-9 although I was contemplating VERY hard ignoring his directions and taking it on CD3-7. I went ahead with what he said for this cycle and...fingers crossed it works!...but if it doesn't I might bump it up a few days next cycle.

Well this was my first cycle on Femara and since I didn't start taking it until CD5 I was actually off AF when I started. My periods are never longer than 4 days and they usually aren't that heavy anyway.

What about you?

Mine are usually five days and my periods are not too heavy. But this On my way! it's been really lite have you had any headaches?

Not really any that are note worthy...maybe the first day I had one briefly but other than I am not having any side effects really.

I go in for my HSG on Monday morning and I am really anxious to find out the results of it!

I am on my second cycle of Femara. I take it cycle days 3-7. I had 2 good folicles last month but no pregnancy This month my fertility dr decided to double my dose I go on the 6th for my ultrasound that will be cycle day 11 so I am trying to be hopeful. My husband wants to try IUI this cycle as this worked for my sister who is now almost 4 months along. Seems like we are in the same boat so i would be glad to be a friend and share our stories. I am new to the forum.

Lacy and Stormy - How did your ultrasounds go?!?

My HSG went well...not anywhere near as painful as I was worried about. A pap smear is actually more uncomfortable than the HSG. The dye filtered through both fallopian tubes so the doctor said everything was clear. I am just entering my fertile period so it's time to BD for me! Hopefully the HSG and the Femara will do the trick for me!
