We don't know whether we are having a boy or a girl... we have a few ideas for boys names but struggling for a girl.

A girl will probably definitely be called Luise (say: Louisa) but I can't think of a nice second name that goes with it. Any ideas?

I'd like something fairly ordinary/traditional, and easy to spell and pronounce correctly! Because Luise is unusual, and it would be nice if they have the option of a more "normal" second name when they are older.

I really like "Mae" or "Rae" for a second name and think that goes real nice, but they are still a bit unusual/weirdly spelled. I was thinking of Luise SOMETHING Mae, but I don't know how I feel about 4 names (incl surname) - nearly everyone in my family only has 3 (1st, middle and surname).

All ideas welcome!

I think 3 names is good.. like Luise "blah" Surname.
Rather than two middle names so to speak.

Luise is a lovely name to start with :) and because it's pronounced as louisa a lot of things will flow from it, luise mae sounds nice, with rae i keep thinking of corrine bailey rae the singer.. but thats not a bad thing.

Sorry im not much help!! :(

Luise Faye Mae
Luise Paige Rae
Luise Lily Mae
Luise Ruby Rae
Luise Emily Mae

I think these sound nice :flower:

xx

Thanks! We already have an Emily and a Lily.... I really like the SOUND of the names, but would rather not use a name already used in this generation of our family if poss.... But I thought maybe Melanie? Like, "Luise Melanie Rae Blah" - Or "Luise Melanie Rose" - we have a Rose on DHs side, she would be thrilled to be named after, but I don't like the sound of Luise Rose, just too many Zs iykwim :)

Thanks again!

I would not do three names and a surname, maybe a longer middle namexx

Hey my name is Luise (but not louisa?) how come you chose to pronounce it that way?
I've had trouble all my life with people not accepting that my name has no 'O'

I'm not judging sorry just wanting you to think of what its like to have a name spelt completely different to how everyone else knows it.

Anyway how about Luise Christina (luise Christine)

good luck

Lu xx
