Section tomorrow, coughing up blood after anti acid tablet?

Is this normal?
I took the anti acid tablet just over 30 mins ago as prescribed before my section in the morning and i coughed up a lump bloody phlegm and then my salvia was quite bloody.
It's stopped now though. is it a normal side effect???

Right before My C, about 45 minutesish, they gave me a LIQUID anti-acid to take that burned the whole way down and nearly made me puke. How the heck that was supposed to contradict acid and nausea is beyond me. I could barely breathe! Felt like I'd taken a doubleshot of Goldschlager or straight up liquid fire! So I can only imagine that the tablet form could cause all kinds of havoc too.

And for the record? I puked on the table anyway. It failed.

Just incase anyone else was intrested, I did ask the doctor about this and he said it can happen, especially as I'd been having some bad reflux x

Strange! That's the last side effect you would expect from an antacid!
