seeing relatives the first time since the news!

my dad told my nan that i am pregnant, she cried and said "poor bugger" she was upset for me. she doesnt need to be cause im over the moon though. she has got used to the news now though and is always asking how i am..I havent seen her since my dad told her though..i cant bring myself to go and see her...i dont know why..i think its because i think she is going to give me a dissaproving look. I cant stay away forever though! anyone else felt like this? xxx

i was like that i left my nan till last cuz i was so scared of her being disappointed but she was great. she is a god send now cuz she helps me so much. shes knitting hats and stuff. u'll have to face ur nan soon so go see her and see what she says she's probably happy for you and if u tel her how happy u are she'll support you hope it goes well xxxx

I felt the same about my dad and gran. I dont live with my dad so my first visit over there since I told him was horrible. I put it off for ages because I knew he was going to rip into me, and he did. Kept quizing me, asking why I wanted to ruin my life..I ended up in tears, I woulda walked out and went home if he wasnt such a distance from where I live. However, now he is a proud granda. Kind of makes me sick, but I cant stop Kyle seeing him hes good to him. My gran was completely different altogether.

It can go either way just best to get it over with. I hope all goes well, and remember its your life, your decision, in the end all they have is their opinions. Hope all goes well xx

I saw my nan the day I found out, she just said "Ooh Donna" But she was fine with it. I've not seen all my relatives. Just one aunt, and 2 uncle's. We don't see the family much as we all live in different area's and don't get time too see eachother, so it's nice when we get together.

I went to see my nan, she didn't really mention the pregnancy, she was ok, she was acting like the usual nan i know, asking me if i want a biscuit and a drink of pop, lol...I think she learnt her lesson from when my sister got pregnant by her OH, she made a big deal out of it. and then my sister miscarried. but yeah..i think she is ok with it..well i guess she has got to be really cause its happened. thanks for all your advice!!!

glad to hear it my nans like that constantly tryin to feed me haha. thats what my nan was like she was like theres no point in being angry cuz its happened now n she cant change it sooo hope everything goes well and u have a healthy pregnancy xxx

My nan was ok with it but she was worried just asking if it was what i deffinatly wanted and was i sure that i was going to cope but now she's great always asking how i am and making sure im eating and looking after myself

same here, she actually called me a 'dirty cat' so i just don't go when the rest of the family go see her. my aunt on the other hand is over the moon, she had my cousin at my age and she keeps texting me and ringing me telling me not to buy thi and not to buy that because she already got me it!

Angego seeing as your gran just got on with things as usual i'd say your lucky lucky! well done on facing her =) *hugs*
