Hello. Hope this isn't confusing. For years I told myself and everyone else that my husband and I were TTC. But we really weren't giving it 100%. The reason I say this is, I wasn't tracking ovulation, cervical mucous, never used OPKs, etc.

Back in January of this year I went to get checked to see if I could possibly get pregnant since I haven't yet. Doctor ran some tests and diagnosed me with PCOS. Ever since I have given up hopes of having a child and have been very emotional. I'm trying to have hope but for the past few months I have put blame on myself and my body for have this disease.

Wondering if I should start tracking my basal temp, using opks, etc or just come to terms that I can't fall pregnant.

If you don't try you've already failed. What do you have to loose by tracking your temperature and knowing your body better. Cheer up *hugs* everything will work out!

Cheer up :) my friend has PCOS and was going through the same thing and not much trying later had a beautiful baby girl :) she was thinking she was never gonna conceive but she never gave up :) I would highly recommend start temping, using OPK, and tracking ASAP. It's never too late. If you wanted to you can ask your Dr for something they will help you ovulate. Clomid is what another friend of mine used and she became preg with a beautiful baby boy :) never give up :)

Don't give up! My friend who was diagnosed with PCOS about 6 years ago is now 9 weeks pregnant and was only TTC a few months. There is hope!

There are so many women with PCOS on here who have conceived and had healthy pregnancies. Please don't give up.

I read OPKs are difficult to read if you have PCOS as your hormones can give false readings but it's worth temping and checking CM.

Good luck
:dust:

Hang in there I have PCOS, and was on metformin it really seemed to help me. Do you have regular cycles?

Temping has been a big help, I still use opks and they seem to be accurate for me.

Sometimes it's better to get a diagnosis. Now you can get support from others in the same position and see what has worked for them, your GP should be supporting you too.
I know it's hard but like the many others said try and stay positive and of course start tracking if you want to :D goodluck
