is this a good semen analysis ?

Testicular volume 25ml

4 day abstinence

Ejaculate volume 4.5ml
Total sperm 153.45 million
Sperm count 34.1 million / ml

Motility
Forward progressive Grade A 33%
Progressive (non linear ) Grade B 21 %
Non progressive Grade C 8%
Immotile Grade D 38%

Morphology
Normal 8%


Doc says everything is completely normal however the 8% morphology appears to be very low - Doc said 4% upwards is normal however reading elsewehre this value should be at nearer 30%.

Is morphology so important ? Can anything be done to improve it ?

Despite reassurance from Doc we're nevertheless concerned.

My husband's morphology was low at 8 (nurse said preferred is 10+). I don't know if that's % or what but that's the result we got yesterday. He also has low motility with 16 (preferred is 40+). They recommended a multi-vitamin and CoQ10 for the motility and a male fertility supplement for the morphology. They gave me 3 websites from which to buy the supplement: www.coastscience.com or www.proxeed.com or www.fertilityblend.com

However, they are a bit expensive. I'm considering buying a male fertility supplement from Amazon instead for now.

So something to note is that different labs test sperm and blood different ways so what is normal from one lab may not be normal at another but they both still may be technically normal levels, if that makes sense.

It's not really accurate to base different lab's results on one another.
