Separation anxiety.

DD has become so clingy. She stayed at her god mothers house last night and screamed all night until I picked her up this morning and then she was happy and smiley.

She's crying when I walk away for two seconds.

I love that she needs me but is there any way to lessen the stress on her? How did you all cope with this phase.

just time tbh. They mostly all just grow out of it over time with little upsurges every now and then. If she's teething or ill then it will likely be worse than usual. Is it poss she's teething?

I think with staying over night - I myself don't sleep well in new places to begin with - and my dd is also the same - so it's possibly easier to have her settle in for a while before leaving overnight.

Don't worry, she'll figure it out with some support and reassurance. Play a lot of peek a boo - it helps honestly!
