Septate hymen anyone?

Hi everyone!

Just wondering if anyone has been "blessed" with one of these?

For those who don't know what I mean it is basically a line of tissue that separates my opening into two holes. One side is more comfortable than the other as its been more stretched with intercourse etc.

Just wondering has anyone had this and how has it effected their labour? Slightly worried about this increasing labour pain at the pushing stage, have a consultant appointment next month to discuss.

I had it with my first! It tore during birth, and I had some pretty "unique" tearing which the OB thought may have been due to strain from the septum. Due to the sulcus (internal vaginal wall) tearing, I had a lot of bleeding and stitches. I had nothing to compare it to, so I don't know if it was more painful than not having it.
