Hi! I just found this forum and thought I might be able to get some help! We are TTC our first baby and this is my second cycle using OPK. Last cycle was normal, but this time around I have had seven days of positive OPK. I tested on 11/7 with no surge, but then I had a surge on 11/8. I tested on the 9th to see if I still had a surge and there was none. I once again tested on 11/10 and I have had positives surges since then. I'm so confused. I took a HPT on 11/14 and it BFN, but I'm sure I tested too early. My period is due on 11/23.

I am using First Response if that makes a difference.

Has anyone else had any experience with this? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks :)

No idea here but following for now to see what people say! Like you said maybe too early for HPT but OPK is picking up something :O ?

Wait a bit longer and try hpt again? That's strange!

I took another one today, and it's the same thing! I'm really hoping that it might mean something good! Fingers crossed!

Apparently PCOS can cause OPKs to show positive a lot - so hormone imbalances can do that. Hopefully in your case it's not that, but I thought I'd share just in case x

I have a slightly high lh level so sometimes i get more than 1 lh surge but it goes up and down not permanently up. I would test hpt in a few days then maybe speak to a doc.

I have read that...apparently the symptoms can be hard to recognize, I really hope nothing is wrong

So, I've had two more positive surges. I've also had some cramping in my right side, AF is due in 6 days I'm hoping she doesn't come!

I finally stopped using OPKs, since I get this too. Sometimes I get several "positive" with equal lines and then a day with a darker test line, other months just several equal lines. I've gone through two monitored cycles and know that I'm ovulating so that was reassuring for me. They say once you get a positive you aren't supposed to keep testing...but I know if I were in your shoes I would to see if it keeps happening! Do you temp to compare?

MKaykes,

I haven't tried it with my temp yet, this upcoming cycle I probably will. I've been having some pretty bad cramps the past few days but haven't tested with HPT yet...we will see.
