Severe stomach cramps

Can anyone help?

Since Tuesday evening I have been experiencing the most awful stomach cramps. These are so bad that they are coming close to labour pains!! Only lasts about 2 seconds but feels like something is tightly twisting inside me just under my ribs right in the middle of my stomach.

It gets worse when I eat or drink and dr gave me Buscopan for spasms but it hasn't helped at all.

Any other suggestions?? I'm in agony!

Appendix? Trapped Wind? Try Windeze firstly. I know Ive suffered with trapped wind and I thought I was in labour, they were that bad, if that doesnt work, see your doc again x

No it's not appendix

Dr said to go to a&e if it gets worse but it's just the same and is still awful.

I'm now constantly on the toilet

I would just go and get it checked out if it's not getting better. Is there any chance you could be pregnant? Maybe ectopic?

I've had something that sounded similar, and got rushed to out of hours docs the first time who, even though the pain was my entire stomach, thought it was my appendix and rushed me straight to the hospital. They put me on morphine and had me nil by mouth while they did more tests and would operate the following morning but they found it wasn't my appendix. They did about 10 blood tests every day, made me go for every test and scan under the sun, they even sent me for chest xrays :S and couldn't find what was wrong and the pain just eventually started going on its own, but it was in hospital for quite a few days and just told them it was all better so they'd discharge me. I told them I thought I had an infected womb from labour as everything else went wrong but that's the one thing they didn't look for and just dismissed (my LO was only 12 weeks old)

I've had it back a few times since then, on one occasion the doctor rushed be back to hospital thinking I could have cysts so they did the scan and found I was nearly 6 months pregnant with my little boy!! Again they never found what was causing the pains and the only thing I can compare it to is labour.

I know its not much help but just thought I'd share. I've been through it and never found out what it was no tablets (codeine diclofenac buscopan etc.) Touched it I just had to suffer it out or if it got so unbearable go to the hospital where they put me on morphine. Hope you're feeling better soon hon its horrid!x
