Sex after having a baby

Im just interested to see how long you waited before having sex again?

My husband has started droping little hints about wanting to dtd again. Our baby is only 2&1/2weeks old so theres no way im ready and i know he wont pressure me into it but i just feel stink for him seen we havent dtd since the beggining of the third tri.

We waited the whole of two weeks! I didnt have any stitches though and bounced back from the birth really quickly, I felt mostly normal the day after with no pain. Anyway I stopped bleeding and we had a little slip up... Totally unprotected though which was silly! Hopefully we wont end up with two under a year old but if we do, then we'll cope!

Anyway Id say if you feel up to it go for it, if not hold off a bit longer x

Waited 6-7 weeks, I had a c-section. I was ready at 5 weeks, but DH wanted to wait until I had my 6 week check (where the doctor didn't even mention sex or even look, not that they usually do), and we just didn't get a chance for a little while after the appointment.

Exactly 6 weeks with a third degree tear! It was abit sore but expected!

8 week's after a c section. 10 week's after my vbac with second degree tear. Both times painful. I waited til I was back on birth control and felt ready. If your oh is hinting but your not quite ready you dint have to have intercourse to have fun!

4weeks 4th degree tear, I was ehhhh at the time, I could feel a stitch up there (tmi felt it when I pooped) now it's fine. Pelvic floor excercises are great I found when I started exercising more if was better.

I think we waited about 5-6 weeks pp and it wasn't great. I think you have to just realise sex won't be great for a while but it does get better I felt back to normal and sex was back to how it used to be at about 12 weeks pp x

Wow I waited ages compared to everyone else lol. With ds is was about 4 months pp. I had a 3rd degree tear and I was told to wait till id seen consultant at 8 weeks and had it all checked out, then literally that day I got my period and ended up with an infection and bled for 8weeks. With dd it was 8 weeks.

I had a c-sec 8 9 weeks ago and tried to DTD at 8 weeks pp. It was really painful. I wasn't expecting it to be painful after a c-sec. I'm waiting a little longer now as we couldn't even "DTD".

We waited four months too. We tried earlier than that but my body was not having it!!
