Bit of a weird one, but thought it'd be best to seek advice.

We haven't had sex since we conceived, I think we're both cautiously trying to refrain until I'm in the safe zone, but because I'm having my t/v scan on Friday I told my oh on Sunday we should have sex within the next couple of days so I'm not so tight & tender for the scan. Tbh, with my awful symptoms there's no way he wouldn't initiated without my mentioning it.

However, yesterday (Monday) I woke up with a bit of brown spotting which seems to be going away with total bed rest(after 4 losses I'm not taking any chances). So now I'm wondering if having sex is still a good idea.. More spotting will spring me into another panic but it would help with Friday's scan.

I've also started to get mild cramps from time to time so it's another reason I don't want to aggravate things down there.

Any suggestions?

Hey kits, we haven't had sex since I found out either. The midwife at the hospital today told me something which I'm going to try and remember. She said if a pregnancy is good, it will hang in there, you could almost go bungee jumping if you wanted. If there's something wrong with the baby whatever you do will make no difference. Unless you have been told not to by your doctor you should go for it (although I think we're still going to be wimps til 12 weeks lol)

Hiya lbrum!

Heh, thanks ☺ not sure what to do, but yea that makes total sense. My sister told me the same thing but it does sound good coming from a nurse.

I'd much rather hold off but the TV scan is so uncomfortable when you're tight!

Thanks hun!

brown spotting could be from the head of his penis bumping against your blood engorged cervix, causing the cervix to shed a bit of blood. like lbrum said... no amount of jumping up and down by teenage girls has ever caused a mc to happen ;)

I went 3 weeks without before my TV scan and it was`nt as bad as you think they put so much lube stuff on it and its not as thick as a mans ....
