Just wanted to tell my labor story. I was being induced due to a strange bout of gurd that prevented me from eating solid foods and the medication that I was placed on Reglan my Ob/gyn didn't really want me on it for long and I was 39 weeks and 1 day. I was placed on pitocin about 12:30 in the afternoon, I was at 1cm. I was starting to have contractions and they were every 3 minutes and hard so I was very hopeful for a fast deliver... boy was I wrong! Every time they checked me I was still a 1 maybe a 2 but I think they were only saying that cause I looked discouraged cause I was a good labor patient ( this was my 4th delivery). 6 hours later, epidural in place for the contractions were painful the nurse checked me again and I was only a 3 and my Ob broke my water and said she would wait to see if that would speed up my labor and she was also hopeful for a normal delivery, boy was she wrong as well. It was around the 8 hour mark and I was going those another nurse change and something just felt wrong. I asked to be checked told her I felt something I couldn't explain, so she checked me and had this horrible look on her face and checked me again. I was slightly concerned as well and she said she would been a second opinion and ran to get another nurse. That nurse checked me and she too had this horrible look on her face and I was really getting concerned and then they told me, there was a hand poking them back as they checked me. the whole hand and part of the arm was completely out of my cervix and the baby was grabbing their finger which is what was freaking them out. So they both went to get my Ob who was still at the hospital thankfully and she too shook hands with my baby. She tried to get the arm and hand back in but the baby wasn't having it. So off to the O.R for me for a C-section. My husband was a bit panicked which was understandable cause this was his first child and wasn't prepared for all of this. I have had 3 vaginal births but ever since I became pregnant I knew this one was going to be different I just had no idea that my daughter would want to try to greet the world by shaking hands. This is most likely my last child as my first 3 are practically grown they are 19, 15, and 13 but my husband( second marriage) didn't have any children so we felt he should have a legacy so we tried for one and we just had no Idea just how eventful the beginning of her life was going to be. Our daughter was born 1 day before our 1st year wedding anniversary and what is really cool about that is I was my parents wedding anniversary present as well. Anyway just wanted to share my labor story hope yall enjoyed it ![Very Happy :D :D](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
