Hi Ladies!

I'm just hitting week 6 and have started experiencing MS. I'm supposed to go on a 5-day trip with DH and I'm nervous that MS is going to be the killjoy third wheel. I've read some info online on how to cope with MS, but I thought I'd thought I'd see if you ladies could share some of the things that have worked for you. This is my first rodeo, so I'm still feeling a little bit deer-in-the-headlights about this pregnancy.

Thanks!

The most helpful thing for me were the seabands (accupressure bands), especially in the early weeks. With my first pregnancy with DS these were pretty much all I needed to cope! This time has been far, far worse but they still helped. Other than that, eating little and often, especially protein helped.

MS is unpredictable, as is every day in the first tri.

You can feel amazing 24hr later feel worse you ever have 8n your life.

What works for one, wont work for another.
My first to babies eating little and oftening helped, i begun to notice which foods i could/couldnt stomach so would stick to safe list.
I tried seabands but they didnt do anything. They say ginger helps, coconut water and peppermint tea.

This current baby i got HG (serve sickness) and nothing but sleeping the days away helped, i was put onto tablets which were 50/50. Killer was motion set mine off, so walking was difficult.

Fingers crossed you escape it all together.

For me the small snacks all the time helped, the moment I felt nauseous I started snacking on a cracker or a carrot stick. Hunger is still my worst enemy, and being overly tired. If you get sleepy, rest. Seabands were helpful at the start, they lost their wonder around 8 weeks but I'm starting to use them again. Putting slices of ginger or cucumber in my water was helpful to help me drink more.

Morning sickness was terrible for me this pregnancy. The only thing that made a noticeable difference was not lying down all the time, sitting upright seemed to help.

Thank you all! I hope most of you are feeling better!

I felt most nauseated first thing in the morning...so i had to eat a snack right away. even before getting out of bed. Also had to stay away from heavy food in the morning...no eggs, no dairy etc.

During the day/ evenings ...i had to make sure I never had an empty stomach or the nausea would start. so kept snacks on hand...salty things helped.

Also for me...i was also sick if I was too full (or hungry). so i had to have smaller meals.

You'll learn what works and what you should avoid or triggers nausea.

sorry no help here the only thing that helps me is zofran at least once a day and when it gets to bad that i can't eat or drink for more than 2 days then a hospital stay on a drip.

good luck i hope you don't get it like have it.

My morning sickness is definitely worse in the evenings. If I don't eat by 7pm then I can't. Mint kit kats have been my snack of choice this time! Little and often definitely helps as do seabands.
