Lately Alexa has been biting me. I try to be stern with her, and say no, but it's not working... In fact, I am sure she knows she isn't allowed to bite, because everytime she does, she laughs, or gives a smile of mischief. What can I do? I don't want to stop breastfeeding yet, but it hurts :( Any ideas?! Thanks!

No ideas here, but hope it gets better.
Colton has been biting for a few months, I've tried everything. Since about her age, and he still does. Every now and then he will stop when told no, but I've went through the biting him back, saying "no", etc. I know you cannot do this (because you're feeding when she bites), but now I just set Colton away from me and when he reaches I tell him "NO!" I tell him things like, "I dont cuddle with mean boys" etc and he gets upset (he's really clingy to me) and starts crying because I wont cuddle with him because he hurt me.

I used to stop Kaya feeding for a wee while when she bit me. She soon stopped.

I've heard if u take them off for a bit they learn...

When does she bite? At the end or beginning? Or during?

hen she bites down, pull her into you. This cuts off the air to her nose, and will make her open her mouth to breath. I do this to Bren and it is what the LLL leader told me to do. Then just set her up and away from your breast for a minute.

Bren bites when latching on, so I have started putting my finger out first for him to bite down on and after a few days he has stopped biting down.

sorry no advice here. i see my friend's got bitten by her baby boy a lot not just her nipples but i mean everywhere, arms,shoulders.. When she holds him or hugs him and he does it, left many red marks everywhere.
hope she stop biting you soon

She bites at the beginning... I have read about pulling her in when she does that, but it just doesn't work for her :( I also give her my finger to chomp on after she bites me... hopefully this doesn't go on for too long, because right now she only has one tooth, but when she gets a few more, it will hurt even more :(

When Kaya was biting at the start of a feed I would tease her a bit more until she stuck her tongue out. They can't actually bite if they've got their tongue in the correct position for feeding.

Try giving her the finger before you go to latch her on. This is what I started doing with Bren because he was biting before latching on. He would bite my finger, then I would latch him on and he wouldn't bite.
