Hi girlies, just wanted to share my news that Poppy arrived sat eve 5weeks early and unexpected (even given my history) :)

Brief (:/) story...thurs went to day unit with reduced movement, baby was checked, all fine, had white cells in wee but sent home within an hour.
Fri night ate takeaway pizza and then about 11pm suddenly began having horrid tummy pain and everytime she kicked it made me want to cry ....went to the bathroom at 12.30am and as I stood up realised myself and the floor were soaked! After having 2previous rupture of membranes you would think I would of known.....but no I was convinced I had wet myself due to uti and bad takeaway!

Sat lunchtime hospital rang to say urine results were back from thurs app and no infection, I mentioned I was poorly and was asked to go and get checked...after arguing gently with them for few mins I caved in an agreed to go....arrived at hospital, baby monitored, all well, then examined by a doctor and told waters had broken :/ because of my history and fact waters had gone that morning I was told I'd be induced on Sunday (35+2) but luckily the consultant felt my tummy and decided a scan was needed.....after being head down all along madam had flipped breech that day! (Had scan day before which showed head down!) ...and monitor showed I was contracting every 4mins, ethan my 2nd lo arrived within 7mins was deckded to so straight to theatre for c section!

Poppy arrived within 11 mins at 8.36pm and was 5lb 4oz at 35+1, great agpar scores and no assistance needed! I was discharged the following day exactly 24hrs later and we are now settling into a little routine at home with the boys :)
Jack adores her, Ethan ignores her and hubby can't stop cooing!

Recovery going ok, slower than I expected obv having no idea about c sections etc, have every sympathy for mummies having them xxx

Congratulations on the early arrival of your little girl. Xx
