Hi, All - I am starting a new job next month, at which time I will be 28 wks. I'm shoe shopping and wondering if I should buy a size up from my usual size. I haven't had any swelling or abnormal weight gain so far, but I know this can change later in pregnancy, and I need to be able to wear my new shoes comfortably! What do you think?

My foot size has never changed in either of my previous pregnancies.

My feet swelled and stretched so badly during my first pregnancy that I had to wear my husband's slippers and tennis shoes to work. I was normally a 9 1/2 or a 10. Now I'm a 10 1/2. Everyone is different, so you'll just have to watch/wait and see. And try to do things to prevent swelling as much as possible.

I can still wear my same shoes some days I have to switch it up because my clogs may feel tight, so I would wear my sneakers instead. So I would get some shoes that will give. Just to be safe.

I think it depends on the person. My foot size never changed with my first and so far hasn't this time either

My foot size never changed still a UK 3/4.

Ask your mom, apparently it's genetic. I use to be a size 7 in shoes, now ever since my first pregnancy I'm a 8, sometimes 8.5.

Mines shrunk  I was always a 6 but clearly a 5 in everything now. Maybe I'm an exception though!

My feet swelled a lot during my first pregnancy, but I didn't need a bigger shoe size, just a wider/looser shoe. First, I ended up in cloth ballet flats and at the end I could only wear flip flops. My feet went back to normal afterwards without any size changes. So far my feet haven't been swelling with this pregnancy, but I'm still in the second trimester, so that might change in the next few months.

I would recommend getting at least a looser/wider shoe than usual. I didn't have any foot swelling until suddenly at 33ish weeks and now all my shoes are sooooo tight and uncomfortable...and I'm only wearing summery shoes so I can't imagine other shoes!

With my first pregnancy, I was on my feet all day at work. I worked as a waitress. My foot size did not change. I've been the same foot size for 18 years now.

This pregnancy I'm on my feet quite a bit too, yes my feet swell (more my ankles) but I'm still the same foot size.
