should i breast feed?

my baby isnt due till march but i have always said i will breast feed.. but people are slowly putting me off! i told my friend i was going to breast feed and she looked like she was going to chuck up she said it would be weird seeing a teenager brestfeed (as im only 18) and oh mum is trying to put me off the idea i think its cuz she never brestfeed her boys!

Hun, if you want to breast feed then do it! Speak to your midwife about support groups etc, many of them are open to pregnant women as well and are a really good source of support when you don't have many people supporting your choice.

I have breastfed al my babies, and i think it is a beautiful, and natural thing to do. You need to do wat is best for YOU, and YOUR baby. Ignore what anyone else says, if you don't do it, and you want to you may regret it!!
There are lots of other teens on here who breastfeed, they may have some advice for you.

Do what you want and what will make you happy. There are ups and downs to both breast and bottle.

I attempted to BF but it just wasn't for me.

Go for it if you want to!! I was only 20 when I BFd my first and I had a few reservations - I felt a bit self-contious but I got over it. My mum bottle fed us but she very much encouraged me to BF - she wishes she had now.
