Should I nurse?

She's 1 week old and just nursed for 30 minutes and actually spit up twice after burping. She takes a paci so I gave that to her but I'm worried it will mess up my supply, she only wants to suck a couple times then falls asleep. She is basically wanting to use me as a paci, should I let her or should I nurse? She has plenty of dirty and wet diapers so I think she's eating plenty.

Over here they say no pacifiers or bottles until 6 weeks.

Up until then you and her both need the stimulation to make your supply get to the right level.

She is just upping your supply.

Hun, she's tiny, let her suckle, it builds your supply! After all, all a paci is, is a fake nipple. If she's sucking on that, instead of you, your body is not getting stimulated at this crucial supply building time.
