Should I take Clomid on my 1st or 2nd cycle after 5 week miscarriage?

I had a natural miscarriage after being 5 weeks pregnant. My doctor said that it was due to my late ovulation which was CD21. He prescribed clomid and said to take it after the first normal period but he was very confusing in his explanations. I've read that some women don't even wait until their first period to try again. We've been trying for 6 months and I know that I'm very fertile right now so I'm not sure what I should do.

Should I take it on my first cycle after my miscarriage in April or wait until my second cycle in May?

Hey Meghen722! I literally just posted something very similar to this a couple of hours ago. I had a chemical right at 4 weeks and it was my first dosage of clomid. My doctor told me to resume trying so I treated it as a period and took my first pill on Day 3. Everything passed naturally and my HCG numbers were back to 0.

You can take it the first cycle after you've had a normal period. Do not count the mc as the start of your cycle as hormones are still trying to get back to normal and there's a possibility you may not O. If you're due for af this month, I'd say have at it!
