Should lines get darker on OPK as you approach ovulation?

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas about this? I'm on CD 13 and the last couple of days the lines on my OPK seem to be getting lighter rather than darker? Could this mean I won't ovulate this month? Just looking for a bit of insight

My line got darker as I got closer to O. I did a couple after and they progressively got lighter. Maybe you O'd before CD13 this cycle?

Hmmm don't think I've ovulated yet. Bit worried that I'm not going to now :os Good luck with testing :)

Some get a "fade in" where their OPKs gradually get darker, others don't. I definitely don't. Mine line goes from super faint line to positive, often in the same day....so don't give up hope yet. Just keep testing, maybe 2x/day as you approach the time you think you're going to ovulate, just to make sure you catch your surge.

some women get the fade in and out, some don't

this site has some good examples
