My bbs never feel full when dd's next feeding comes around and she has started to cluster feed almost all the time. Is she still getting enough? Number of Wet diapers and pop diapers are the same so maybe I'm just over thinking things:shrug:

Probably heading into the 3 week growth spurt! It's a doozy.

My LO fed around the clock and my boobs never felt full unless I skipped a feed and my DH took it, or unless by some miracle she slept more than 2 hours.

'Empty' boobs make more milk. Full engorged boobs stop producing until fed from, you cannot run out. :) Keep drinking plenty to ensure you are hydrated and eat regularly. My boy cluster feeds even when my boobs feel sore from being so full as well as when they feel 'empty'. Just growth spurts.

Like the others have said they don't need to feel full. If you ever look at the structure of a human breast you will see it doesn't really have anywhere to store breastmilk, which is why they leak and get mastitis if engorged for too long. Our bodies are designed to make milk often because babies are supposed to be feeding often, not to store milk for a huge mammoth feed a few times a day. I think we get misled by thinking of cows udders, which DO have a sack for milk storage because the herd will be on the move most of the time and baby cows need to get a big drink of milk on those rare occasions when mum can keep still. Once your body settles down in to knowing how much to produce and how quickly, your breasts won't ever get very engorged/full again (unless you miss a feed).
