Like the others have said they don't need to feel full. If you ever look at the structure of a human breast you will see it doesn't really have anywhere to store breastmilk, which is why they leak and get mastitis if engorged for too long. Our bodies are designed to make milk often because babies are supposed to be feeding often, not to store milk for a huge mammoth feed a few times a day. I think we get misled by thinking of cows udders, which DO have a sack for milk storage because the herd will be on the move most of the time and baby cows need to get a big drink of milk on those rare occasions when mum can keep still. Once your body settles down in to knowing how much to produce and how quickly, your breasts won't ever get very engorged/full again (unless you miss a feed).
