So weve tried pear sweet pot apple and now parsnip all of which seem to cause acid, no bad nappies or sick or rash but he gets fussy on his bottles and just came off one screaming

Apart from apple i thought these were safe foods!!

At a loss of what to do and feeling down :(

He can have dairy free porridge but thats it and even that took 2 weeks for him to get used to (was very windy at first)

Should i persevere with parsnip for a week and see? He only has a couple spoon fuls x

Have you tried giving an antiflatulent such as ovol just before a meal?
My little guy needed it at first until he got used to all these new foods.

So far our only trigger foods have been Melon and Mango. He can eat Readybrek (with almond milk), chopped pear, carrot sticks, toast, cubed potato, crumpet, Organix rice cakes, ham & chicken

Ive noticed thats all finger food...? Maybe i should try that hmm

Never heRd of ovol!

Yeah, we are BLW so finger foods only (and very messy Readybrek  )

We moved onto finger foods pretty quick too. Lo was sick a lot with purées and much prefers to feed himself. It doesn't seem to have had a negative effect on his reflux.

Are the organix rice cakes ok to give them now? I wanted to get some for him but they say 7months+ so it put me off. He has carrots & bananas and mushed up veg but I think he's about ready to go onto something more solid.

Sorry for being off topic ladybrock!

The 7 month + thing is based on traditional weaning - ie this is about when you'd move from lumps to finger foods. I figure since we are starting in finger foods we are already at this stage. I've never left him unattended though he tends to suck them till soggy then bite bits off. He likes them though prefers the carrot puffs :) I can't see them being any more of a hazard than bagel ;) (see FB)

Ah ok, makes sense! And I've seen! Looks like he's doing brill :)

Jadon had one of these today off a little boy he loved it so will be getting more :) theyjustmelted in his mouth

I gave my son ovol frequently during our weening time. It just helps them pass the gas without painful buildup. You should be able to find over the counter infant antiflatulents at your local pharmacy. I recommend giving it a try.

Thanks :) i think ill go get one, he seems alot better wind wise and is doing well with food loves to eat but he is fussing at his bottles and cant figure out why, is happy all other times and eats food like a champ

Hes also sttn so cant be reflux (i dont think) cant see any other signs

So its either teeth of wind...?
