My LO has been really sick/ill the last few nights and puked all over her carpet. I have scrubbed it twice now with lots of disinfectant and the carpet looks clean like new still. But her room seriously smells! Should I keep scrubbing it? Or air it out? I'm not sure what to do or use to get rid of the smell. I could borrow a carpet cleaner but it's a nursery carpet so brand new so not even dirty really apart from this sick last night x

Sprinkle Bi Carb Soda on. Brush in & leave for 20mins then hoover it.

Or you can buy a powder, it's about £1.50, can't remember the make but it's a brand name. You do exactly the same as above. They are fragranced with Lavender, Lily of the Valley etc.

ETA: It's Glade Shake & Vac - had some in the cupboard

Bicarbonate of soda works great just leave it over night. X

Try Shake'n'Vac.I swear by it.
Hope LO is feeling better xox

Maybe use biolodgical washing powder in red hot water

Thanks for the tips girls! I'm defo gonna give them a try xx

Leave the windows open wide too :]

I have been doing that lol. But it gets so cold and she sleeps in there so have to do my best to not let it go too cold =/ the monitor also beeps like crazy when it's too cold too lol x

the problem with fluids like sick is they get into the underlay, which is where the smell is probably coming from, what I'd do is pull the carpet up to check the underlay, if it smells, Id simply cut that bit out and replace it with another bit (you could probably get a wee offcut from anywhere that sells carpets)
