Sight problems

We were told about 2 months ago that Joseph will have extremely limited vision due to the vessels in his retinas causing issues in their development.

He's started reaching out for toys and faces so we think he's got better sight than what they thought.

Has anybody else gone through this hell?

Did Joseph ever have laser eye surgery for ROP?

Does he get check ups from the eye hospigtal people (omg dont make me say their real name i dunno how to spell it )

At one of Andrew's early paediatric outpatient appointments, the Paediatrician thought he couldn't see very well because he refused to follow her finger movements - he was focussing on the black plug in the white wall instead! She insisted he have a full eye-check at the neighbouring Eye Hospital, and he came through that just fine.

However - of a similar vein - we were initially told that Andrew may have very limited hearing due to auditory nerve disorder. We are of the opinion that he does have some hearing in his right ear, it's just that he doesn't respond well to their idea of testing. It's very annoying, as the specialists are very pessimistic about it.

He had all the tests and regular appointments with the opthalmologist, Dr Soeldner, but nothing mentioned of laser treatment because they say it wouldn't work!
