Sign of pregnancy????

Hi guys, would really appreciate some advice/clarification on something! I last tried to conceive with my husband not yesterday, but the Sunday before, so around 8 days ago. I was experiencing more bloating and hunger than usual last week, which is not unusual before my period, but my period tends to be fairly irregular but doesn't usually begin this early in the month. On Saturday I noticed a small amount of dark brown discharge, so changed my underwear and put on some pads just in case. In the morning, this discharge became very, very heavy, as in heavier than a very heavy period. That continued for most of yesterday, but today it has become red but still much heavier than my period is. I have never experienced anything like this before, can anyone tell me what it means/if they have experienced it?

Is it possible that you ovulated earlier than usual and just started an early period? Even if you did conceive, it would be too early to have much bleeding if it terminated from a chemical pregnancy. Implantation really can't even scientifically occur until at least 6 days after ovulation. Do you temp or track ovulation? If you don't it can really help with an irregular cycle because although your cycle length may vary, the time between ovulation and AF is usually pretty steady. Just a thought. Sorry, off cycles are so confusing when TTC! I suppose it could be implantation bleeding but it seems like it is way too heavy. I've never experience IB myself, so I'm not sure.

As I understand it, IB (implantation bleeding) is normally very, very light. Like only pink or brown spotting although on rare occasions it can go red, at least that's what I've read and heard on these boards. But if you're bleeding heavily then that's definitely not IB. It sounds to me like you may have Oed early that cycle and of course your AF (Aunt Flow) came sooner than expected. You can ask your GP if your worried about how heavy the bleeding is.

I can recommend using ovulation tests to pinpoint O (ovulation) so you know when you shoudl be BDing and when to expect AF.

like 3-4 cycles ago i had a heavier than usual period that made me MISERABLE. i spoke to my gyno about it and she told me basically told me it happens. i guess sometimes we have heavier/lighter cycles
