Signs before labour?

Hi ladies I am 37 weeks and this pregnancy has been pretty rough. I was going to schedule a repeat c-section after recent complications.. But after my cervix check yesterday, 2cm dilated and 80% effaced, my doctor talked me into sticking with my vbac saying he thinks I won't last much longer.

Does anybody remember any clear signs that stuck out before you went into labour?
My blood sugar has stabilized completely for the past week and a half (I have gestational diabetes), I was nesting like crazy and all of a sudden I have NO energy. I feel like I just want to sleep!!! very frequent bowel movements and I'm constantly hungry. I can eat a full meal and still feel hungry, the past couple months my hunger has been low.
I'm so ready to meet my baby now. Ahh give me some hope!

My only signs were pressure and lower back discomfort.

Thankyou for the reply I have horrible lower back pain, irregular painful contractions and lots of pressure.. But Iv had this now for weeks so I don't think a sign for me sadly

I had NO signs with my son, except for a little bit of blood when wiping late morning one day, and my water broke that night as I was getting into bed. Contractions started about 30 mins after my water broke.

hi hun, from what i remember is loads of pressure down there, needing to sleep and having loads of number 2's lol then not long after think maybe a week i had my show and couple days after i started my very very slow labour, i was having contractions for 5 days before missy decided to come she was born 1 day after due date =) good luck hope your little one shows soon

I had no signs with either of mine. Both times my labours started with my waters breaking then contractions stared from there. I was very tired in the days leading up to DS2 birth but I put that down to being heavily pregnant and chasing after a 1 year old all day lol.

I remember I cleaned the house from top to bottom that day, and luckily finished packing my hospital bags! (I was 36+4 so not expecting anything to happen that early!)

That night in bed I had really bad heartburn, i'd suffered with it through the latter part of the pregnancy anyway, but this particular episode was really uncomfortable, so much so that it woke me up and I was coughing up loads of acidy stuff! (sorry TMI) then my waters started to go, painful cramping, and I was in hospital about 2hrs later having my daughter!

I had painless contractions that were 3 to 5 minutes apart for 2 days before I went into labor.

I had a major freak out on the Sunday that I'd forgotten to get something and I didn't know what to do during the rest of my maternity leave. On Monday I had a show then I woke up at 3.30am on Tuesday and my waters went pop. He was born just before midday.

I lost lots of mucas during the night and my waters broke 10am following day. My contractions did not start until 2 hours later. I didnt have the traditional build up either, my contractions started at 3 minutes apart! Everyone is different!!
