Silicone or Latex teats?

I have finally (after trying TT, Mam, Avent, Dr Brown) found a bottle that my LO likes...Nuk

Have gone online to order some more & noticed that you can buy silicone or latex teats

So now ~ im confused again!

Silicone last longer but can be more stiff. Which nipples do the ones have you started with?The clear ones or the brown ones? The silicone ones are clear.

At birth DD would ONLY take NUK and her first bottle was latex but I switched to silicone because not every store carries the latex.

I bought the one with a silicone teat...

Silicone is my preferred..
I work in the Silicone industry (medical tubes, drinks machines, gaskets on food equipment, you get the picture..)
Latex is being phased out as a material due to allergies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latex_allergy
That is why some drs now use blue gloves - which are usually nitrile rather than the old latex and some people have allergies to condoms.
It is quite common x

Those are the only ones my LO likes as well lol! How strange we started him on the latex ones, but he loves the silicone ones just as much. Silicone lasts longer if you're using a microwave steriliser - I think the latex ones tend to go a bit funny. I'm going to be buying the silicone ones if I need anymore
