Do you find yourself being more emotional when it comes to seeing something upsetting? Especially relating to other children and suffering?

Since Brooke was born watching the news or something like Comic relief thats on tonight has me a blubbering wreck

yep I'm the same when it comes to stories about children especially :(

I'm the same. I always found it emotional when hearing stories about the people in other countries etc.

Yeah. Watching comic relief just now and seeing those poor babies I was thinking about how some of them were around Grace's age and I realised how lucky I am that she is a happy healthy little girl :)

I think its because as a mother you can relate more to it and imagine the heartbreak if you were in that position.

i cry at EVERYTHING now...but i was a bit of a waterworks before having Maley

the other day i was teling maley how much i love her and i started crying!!!!

lol

Yes, I definitely am more sensitive to things I never was before-in fact I can't even watch horror movies anymore :dohh: I guess it's just the thought that anything bad could ever happen to our little precious babes that makes us extra sensitive.

I feel exactly the same i have shed so many tears over comic releif tonight. Unfortunatlty i am not a mother, but since my m/c or even ttc struggles this has happened to me. I think about the orphaned babies and there chance of survival being so low. We have all the love waiting for them here, even 2 rooms to choose from. Sorry to post as i'm not a mother, but i feel what ur feeling :hugs: The reason i wanted to post is the day i found out i was preg i felt like a mother, and to me i will always be a mummy to our angel.

When I was younger, I used to get more upset over animal related stuff than people related stuff. Now, since having kids, I'm definitely more sensitive to things. I don't cry much over stuff I see on the tele or read, but they definitely tug at my heartstrings a lot more.

Ugh, yes! I cry, I'll just be telling OH about how cute Kathryn is and how much she laughed today and I'll start tearing up. And stories about people treating children badly, like my mom was letting me about this program about neglected children and because of being locked in a dirty room and not being talked to a 9 year old had the brain of a 18 month old. It was so horrible I was sobbing!

oh dont start me off!!

No, not at all. I've never been an emotional or weepy person. However, stories that come back about our troops at war, or watching the repatriation of fallen troops always makes me cry.

Yeah, Omg I was almost in tears watching Comic Relief before.
And like in the first few days after having Leo I saw loads of like NSPCC adverts and I was in tears!!
x

yes, I get very emotional over LOTS!!!

yes! daisyduke :hugs: i couldn't agree more honey, the day i found out i was pregnant i became a mother :hugs: words cannot express how sorry i am for your loss :hugs:

i'm a complete watery head atm! (very old saying my great-nan would have used!) since losing nan i'm terrible! i cried at criminal minds last night! x

yes totally, i couldn't watch comic relief i had to read a book instead.

Anything that involves harm to babies or children makes me very upset and i tend to switch over and not listen.

I think it is because we can relate more now and i would devastated if anything happened to Amelia, ok getting upset again...lol
