Single duvet on toddler bed?

Sorry for all the bed questions at the moment!
Does anyone use single bedding on a toddler bed? Does it work ok? And what about the bottom sheets.?

Eta does anyone know if ikea duvets are funny sizes? Will they fit bedding sets from other places?!

Single bedding is much too big. Not sure on ikea as got lucas' covers online just cant remember website

IKea is funny sizing but I'm not sure how much it varies. I use a single duvet cover with a toddler duvet. Put the duvet in width ways and then you can use the excess to tuck down the side so they are less likely to wriggle out of the covers! We are still in a cotbed so have the fitted sheets already.

Ikea toddler beds have special sheets but their kids duvet covers are all for single beds. I've no idea why they don't do a special sized duvet and cover options!

We had an ikea 'toddler bed' duvet and it didn't fit any toddler bed sized bedding unless it was from Ikea.
We have since bought a single duvet and it is big but I tuck all the extra bits under the mattress. This way it doesn't fall off as easy. Touch wood I haven't been woken up by a cold toddler from the duvet having been kicked off!

Oh! Hmm, maybe ikea Japan just doesn't do the special sized ones then :/

I have an Ikea toddler bed and use a single duvet on it.
I just fold it under at the bottom and tuck the sides in. Its fine. He doesn't notice its a bit big, and it means we have much more choice on duvet covers to buy.
I use a normal single sheet on it (unfitted) and hospital corner it in place - doesn't come untucked then!

We had a ikea duvet on the cotbed and have just changed it to a single but he is loads warmer and sleeping better we plan to get a single bed for him soon but for now we just tuck it down the sides
