Single lady advice pls!

Hi ladies!

I just wondered if any of you could give me some advice; I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant and going it alone.

I'm more than happy without the annoyance of a bloke on my arm .. (my ex is a narcissitic, womanizing pig) but just wanted to put myself out there, maybe make some friends in a similar situation to me etc.

I have my worries that he can try and take my baby ... but this isn't possible is it? He lives abroad permanantly and I told him if he comes back to England he can have regular access, as I won't have my little girl having some inconsistent figure in her life every now and again, when he fancies it ... is this reasonable?

p.s we're not and have never been married - neither will his name be going on the birth certificate!

Sounds reasonable to me! When shes older she may ask where he is etc and then persue email contact etc, but he cant take your baby dont worry!

Unless he is on the birth certificate, he has no rights to LO so, rest assured, he cannot take your baby. He could go to court to establish paternity but what are the chances of this with him being abroad??? Besides, it's a long and often costly process and all paternity will give him is visitation and a child maintenance obligation.

im doing the exact same FOB is in the army and is a pig too! he will not be anywhere near the birth citificate and will have to fight to be in the babys life because i gave him the chances but he doesnt care about either of us
im more than happy to do this alone too xxx good luck chick

hey hun, i went through my pregnancy alone....and i have a Tabitha

what has he said about access so far?? has he any interest or mentioned wanting to take LO at all? he would have to phsically be present when registering LO to be on the BC so hopefully he'll stay away
