I've come to realise the only presents under my tree this year will be for Grace :( obviously I will have some bits off family but I've not asked for anything specific apart from money and you can't exactly open that lol so I was thinking, if I have enough left over from when I finish shopping for everyone else, that I might buy myself a little something to go under the tree so I at least have something to open even if I do know what it is. Is that kind of sad? Lol or would any other single mummies do it?

not a single mummy, but if i was i would totally do that!!! great idea!

Not a single mummy but would defo do this, Would probably put it from my lo aswell so felt like it was off someone else !!!!

It might be nice to write that its from santa so your LO doesn't think santa has forgotten you! I am doing this with a few bits for the baby just incase he is here at xmas x

My friend is a single mummy to a 7 year old girl and the last 4 or 5 years at christmas, her birthday and mothers day she's given me money to take her little girl shopping for a couple of gifts for her, she never knows what she's getting so its a nice suprise. She puts all her change is a piggy bank all year round (every night she takes any coins 20p and less out of her purse) and we use this money for her birthday, mother's day and xmas. Is there anyone that could buy a present on your little one's behalf and then when she's older take her shopping like i do? my friend's little girl loves shopping for her mum x

Noah's 2nd Christmas we lived on our own and I did exactly that  DH had got me presents at his house but we didn't go there til later lol! My sister also used to get me something from Noah too, she did right up until I married DH because she didn't trust him to remember :haha:

I'm not Single but i think that's a great idea! Go for it :hugs:

Im gonna be a single mummy this christmas and know that im not getting much as everyone will buy LO ....my mums already been buying cute little things like babys first year photo frame etc! I dont mind though :) I love buying other people and seeing them opening their presents.

But I still live at home atm and I have two little brothers as well... so santa still leaves me a few presents :haha: so im not completly missing out! But i am going to treat myself with my boots points and nectar points that i've saved up! :)

My sons school does a wrap room so I gave a it of money and he gets to pick a pressie and wrap it (hes only 5) They help him with this and its nice to get a suprise.

I personally saved my money when I didnt have a partner and treated myself to a nice haircut x

I would do it too if Elyse was older, so that she wouldn't think I was bad and Santa skipped me, etc!

i like the idea of giving money and letting lo
and a friend choose things so you get a surprise

but i would totally do it if i was single too

 xx

I bought myself a pair of sneakers, and two new outfits and marked them from Alexa! :)

i think it's a lovely idea...
spoil yourself, everyone deserves christmas presents!

My mum used to get things from Em for me, Now Scott does it. Did you sign up for secret santa?

Another LP site i was on does Secret santa specifically for single parents. Which is lovely as your all in the same boat, plus we were all quite close friends so you got really lovely gifts.

Maybe some of you could do that for eachother, i know theres a generic one but in the single parents sub-section you tend to be closer as there's less of us and were all in a similar situation :)

If someone wants a surprise gift over xmas i dont mind getting them something.

Also i was in hospital when b&b secret santa was open so i missed it!

DEFINATLY TREAT YOURSELF! your all bloody fantastic & deserve it!

I never thought of this! Will be treating myself and put Kacie's name on the tag :D

I think thats a good idea about us single mummies doing a secret santa, i will offer to organise this for next year (think its a bit late now for this year).........

I would ask a friend or my mum to go shopping with LO and get something a little surprise! :D

Luckily im still at home and santa still comes :D but not for long

Def do it if you can, i like the hair idea too!

Noy single but I did buy my self a preesie, there is a lady on Ebay who does personalised keyrings and I brought myself and DH one of those off of LO.
