When did you introduce the sippy cup? What was in it?Was it succesful or not?

I Gave him his sippy cup about 5 + a 1/2 months with his dinner a wee bit of baby juice :p but i find that i tryed lots of sippy cups and this ones the best for them to sip out of ... https://www.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/119/b/AAAAAqB6tY4AAAAAARmxIw.jpg

introduce sippy cup at 6 months, i like tommee tippee cup, i only used cooled boiled water or milk in them, no juice, can cause alot of damage to the teeth, and if they dont have teeth yet it will create them to have a sweet tooth and may not take water when they get used to the juice..but thats just the dental nurse in me talking LOL x

I introduced a sippy cup from 3months...because my bubs was constipated and you can get tommee tippee sippy cups from 3months...i used it to give him water in it...i had to help him to drink out of it...i then got the same cups that Kim is showing you which is a tommee tippee one also...its from 4months plus...tomeee tippee cups are great xx

I got max the nuby trainer cup with a soft spout he loved it right from the start .. I tried water and juice and he liked both

charlie had one at about 4 months with a bit of juice in it he uses it about once a week at the moment and really loves it allthough sometimes he waves it around and the juice flys everywhere  but hes really good at using it on his own x

Tommee tippee soft spout ones I found the best.. just with water in them,

I've got Sharlotte drinking out of one... I have to hold it for her most of the time, but she will take liquid out of it.

I give her juice - no more than 2-4 oz a day (I always dilute with water - 2 parts water 1 part juice) or just plain water.

I got several types of sippy cups and tried them with her a different times...

First level nuby, Avent, gerber etc.

She finally settled on the Gerber.

I have the Tommee Tippy Nuby one, she gets fairly frustrated with it at the minute, keep offering it to her though. She makes no attempt to hold it herself either :(

Naw, she just does it once in a great while... but she does like the sippy cup so we won't be going to bottles from breastfeeding (whew!)

:)

Gorgeous Margerle!!!I think the same will happen here...from breast to sippy cup.No bottles.:happydance:

you can get the one i showed you almost everywhere .. it was only 1 pound in my supermarket .. it is also lgiht for them to hold ... https://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s236/Hail-BeggsY-Hail/Picture048.jpg

please excuse the mess lol

I got the Tomme Tippee easiflow with handles today and he loves it (and me too).He enjoys sucking on it but he is not too crazy about the water inside....

I've got a cup with can either have the normal nipple I use on his bottles (3months +), a spout top (5 months +) or a straw top (8 months +).

He happily holds it and drinks water if I use the nipple. The spout top however he hasn't mastered yet. He ends up sticking it in the side of his mouth and biting it. Water ends up going everywhere :) Hopefully he will get the hang of it soon.

I started with the tommee tippee one you get from the health visitor a couple of weeks ago with water and now she's started picking it up by the handle and managing to tip it up far enough in her mouth to sip, but then she gets all excited and bashes it around soaking everything in sight.

i got the tommee tippee cup from 4 months, *like the blue one pictured but red* and she is still trying to get her arm sdtrength up...we'll keep trying xx
