In my town they have recently launched a campaign to promote BFing as certain areas have a very low up take. Some young BFing women from that area have got involved and today I was taking my eldest to school after a doctors appointment and I saw the latest weapon in their campaign!!

We now have single decker buses in our town with Sex and The City-esque adverts down the sides of them with these glam looking REAL LOCAL YOUNG BFing girls with the tag line 'Do Something Amazingly Ordinary'!!!

I almost squealed when Emily pointed one out today - she knew about the campaign and had seen some on her usual bus journey to school but I hadnt actually seen them!!

It's the second fab campaign I've seen for BFing recently and I LOVE IT!

It's the same lady who looks after the peer supporters who's behind it I wish I'd have got involved sooner really.

I am really excited to do it, after everything i've been thru i feel really motivated to help other BF mummies. Especially now i'm seeing a difference in Alfies latch, its gradually getting better still painful but i'm seeing improvement.

Was complaining today to a woman at Baby Days, she was asking me my opinion on the class's etc and i told her how bad the lack of support has been for me from the NHS eg HV's, MW's Consultants etc and that i would of given up if it weren't for the LLL leader i met and he peer supporters from Bosom Buddies.

I live in a biggish village and ive found i got loads of support off my health visitor and theres lots of breastfeeding moms in the village. When i called her for advice she said she'd come out to me straight away and she bought be porridge, glucose and horlicks cant get better than that really. I told her i wanted to top her up and she said nope dont your boobs did it the first time round they can do it this time to. Have to say though the people in the village are defo older mothers and older mothers do tend to breastfeed.

I've just been looking into doing the peer support training too! Talking to someone about it tomorrow.
