As I mentioned in an earlier post, my GP referred me to have some blood tests done. She wanted to test my thyroid, FSH and progesterone. She wrote on the blood form :

'Light periods. PCOS?'

She told me to have the test done on CD21, which was Monday.

Well, I called my GP today for the results, and the receptionist said :

'Your thyroid results were normal, bu the doctor wants you to make an appointment to discuss your FSH results.'

Now I'm sh*tting it!! And I can't make an appointment until tomorrow morning!

Has this happened to anyone else??

I'm terrified that something is really going to be wrong

P.S Meant to also say that I was pretty certain that I ovulated this month, as I got a positive OPK. Plus, I had the bad cramps on my right side that I usually get mid-cycle.

I thought that the blood test would be checking that I'm ovulating, and I really thought that I did.

Plus, my boobs are still sore, and I've been bloody knackered today, despite going to bed at 10pm last night! I was really hoping for a BFP this month, but now I'm really worried.

I don't have much experience with FSH testing but I have had progesterone tests for the last few months. I hope it's nothing serious and you get your Christmas BFP.

huni they could just want you to have a blood test every week for a month

good luck xx

try not to worry hun! i got tests done on cd21 and im getting the results on fri! it could just be that theyre inconclusive or sometihng is slightly low dont worry until youve been! good luck!!

Try not to be to alarmed. You may have been called back because your FSH levels were a little high, but to be hoest, Day 21 is a little late in your cycle to get an accurate FSH reading.
Even if your levels are outside the normal range (1-11) there are things you can do to bring these levels down, such as taking Agnus Cactus. Also FSH can fluctuate from one month to the next, so one result alone is not conclusive.

Hope your appointment relieved any rears for you anyway!

Meant to update yesterday, but didn't get a chance!

Well, the doctors were a complete waste of time! I got there, and the GP said:

'I've got no idea why the receptionist asked you to come in - as far as I can see, your results are all within the normal range. You definitely ovulated this month, and these results are not reflective of someone with PCOS'.

Righttttttttttt.

So I was worrying and panicking all night for absolutely nooooooooo reason??!!

Wonderful.

So yes, very relieved that it all seems ok, but a little pi**ed off with the GP surgery for messing me around!

On a separate note - I have a feeling the AF is on her way :(

Hubby and I had sex earlier, and when I wiped, there was a very slight pink tinge.

Stupid :witch:

I'm glad everything is ok.

Some women experience some light bleed after sex so I hope the AF is not after you :) Good luck!
