sling users - in the rain?

How do you stop LO from getting wet?
I have a big waterproof coat that I have from when I was pregnant, so it can be done up round LO when in the sling, however with the head poking out the top they then get a wet head/hair.
I was maybe thinking of getting one of these to stop this from happening:

but was wondering how others get round it?

brolly would seem like an obvious choice, but I am forever getting them blown inside out as its often windy here

Although I am thinking of getting one of those clear brollies forwhen I am sling wearing, so I can still see where I am walking if the rain is coming inat the front!

Brolly here too! I use a golfing (large) umbrella as it is more sturdy than the smaller ones, and keeps us both dry!

Yep brolly for me too! Ohh and i have a poncho and i put a hat on him if its really windy and the brolly wont stay up!

I put a waterproof jacket on tom, but he's a bit older now and has his arms free so don't worry about him overheating!

I have a rose+rebellion carrier so I put the hood up over him so no rain gets in anyway. My neck was freeeeeezing today though cos I had a v-neck tshirt on and obviously couldn't do my coat up, so tomorrow i'm going digging in my cupboards for a scarf!!!

H&M have a fab poncho for £15 that the baby can fit their head through too! I saw one being used today and it was fab! So have just bought myself one too!!

It's just water, I let him get wet. We aren't usually out in it that long.

My gore-tex jacket is big enough to go around both of us. Emma has a raincoat also to cover her head but I usually forget to bring it along so I often zip her in with me with her head poking out the top.
