Okay okay okay, I went to the hospital on new years eve, because I was having pains and tightening all day and through the night, they sent me home a half hour later with anti-biotics that did nothing at all...
This Wednesday just gone I had to go again because I was in a car crash with a police car... (Had to take myself because the police man said I didn't need to go...)
I went back on Thursday because I was loosing fluid. Alot of it.
The doctor examined me and did a test that had a 'certain percentage of accuracy' that said my waters hadn't gone.
She was INCREDIBLY bitchy and said I MUST go to my midwife next friday to get checked even though I have a scan and review that day which is about two hours away and I wont make it back in time before the doctors closes.
While I was there on Thursday, there was a girl waiting to be checked (she had to wait about an hour the poor girl.) She was 30 weeks gone and they have been sending her home for the past FOUR weeks with anti-biotics to 'clear the infection' that wasn't even there. Turns out she was in slow labour. She was having contractions every 5 minutes when she was there, and because of their idiocy they couldn't stop it because she was too far.
They've sent me home TWICE now with anti-biotics saying its an infection.
Which aren't doing anything.
I've been having pains and tightening for the past god knows how long and they're still saying its an infection.
They even put me on the monitors to check to see if I was contracting. Which I was!
Me AND my mum saw the numbers that the machine was going to!
They still sent me home.
Anyway, I went to my midwife appointment on Friday even though I was told not to by the midwife at the hospital, and my community midwife said I'm in slow labour.
The midwives and doctors at my hospital are RIDICULOUS!
Luckily I'm further along than the girl that was there that night.
I just hope to god her baby is okay, and all because the staff don't like keeping people in the hospital unless you're in full blown labour.
She even said that they had her escorted out a few days before by police and security because her and her mum refused to move because she was in so much pain.
ARRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Wooow! That is just ridiculous! I wouldn't even bother with that hospital but I guess your probably too far along to change? I hope that poor girl and her baby are okay! And I hope the same for you!

They're ridiculous seriously, there was a lady who lives near me who had her baby a couple month ago, she was in labour for almost two days, they kept sending her home, until she was having contractions every 2-3 minutes, they did it with my sister too, which was 4 years ago.
And I know, me too, and I'm sure we'll be fine:) Thankyou for reading haha :)

Omg I would punch the staff -.- c*nts!
That sucks, I hope baby is okay :)

Omg that is bullshit! Im sorry you have to deal with that shit :( I swear I would snappp! I think lotss of hospitals have rudddde nurses

Thanks for your replies:) and I know, there are a few midwives/doctors who aren't rude, but because there were people in urgent need of the doctors in the delivery suite, they had to keep running off, even when I was being examined, I went to the toilet, got told to get undressed (waist down) and by the time I got out (can't move very fast aha:) ) My nice doctor had gone to pull someones baby out with those giant tweezer like things (forceps? not sure what they're called :S ) then another came, she was nice, and then she dissapeared:(
And what makes the hospital even worse, I had a blood test in November, which said I was anemic, I wasn't told until this Thursday just gone! So they've done another blood test when I was there!

R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!

Sorry you have to put up with that. :( At least you won't have to deal with them for much longer!

i was in labor my first baby 5 days, my second baby three days and my third two days..
well they didnt lie when they said each one will come faster :p lol

its called prolonged labor and it happens and the best thing you can do is eat and relax until the full blown labor comes because if you dont you will be soooooo tired..now i know its hard to relax when in pain but try....or just rest..get some pillows and something big to drink prop yourself up as best you can and watch tv or read a book but rest....:)

good luck

I contracted every 2 minutes for 4 days and they sent me home 3 times, untill i kicked off the 4th time and refused to go anywhere.. People in the majority of hospitals are awful! x

I'm hoping this wasn't a U.S hospital. How horrid. I'm pretty sure I've been in early labor for 4 days now. Keep losing plug and now some show. Is there a different hospital that the other girl could go to?: flower:
